Pre-Production Copy (PPC) Arrived!
over 6 years ago – Thu, Dec 21, 2017 at 11:35:41 PM

Hi folks, I received the PPC (Pre-Production Copy) of Feudum: The Queen's Army and finally had some time to take some pics.  Most everything is perfect, but there were just a few things I had to verify with Panda:

  • Box should have a matte finish like the other boxes
  • Resin horse should be darker
  • Playmat resolution should be double checked
  • Gold foil on kickstarter edition boxes verified
  • Spot varnish on Atticus Card and KS edition Action Cards verified
  • Special finish on the Queen's Pawns verified
  • Royal Steed Coin (pre-wash) sculpt verified

Enjoy the pics!

Resin Horse
over 6 years ago – Mon, Nov 27, 2017 at 12:17:12 AM

Hello folks,

Here's a peak at an early production version of "Atticus" the horse from The Queen's Army. As you can see, I was experimenting with curved legs and a gold peytral (part of the horse armor). However, I decided I liked the straight legs and a plain front better per the original 3D mockup. I really like the overall size, weight and feel of the resin! It really complements the other components.

Essen + Localization Partners + App!!!
over 6 years ago – Wed, Nov 22, 2017 at 12:53:36 AM

Now that I have a break from University obligations, I actually have the time to update you on a great many things! First, I was absolutely thrilled with Essen. At first, I was bummed out that I didn’t get to sell any games; however, the opportunity to network with fans, reviewers, publishers and potential partners made up for all of that… by a lot!

Essen opened up so many doors for me, and I am grateful to Corax Games, the Spieleschmiede and Panda for introducing me to so many cool companies and localization partners. As you know, Odd Bird is committed to printing trilingual edition games in German, French and English. But, after Essen, localization partners are helping me translate and/or localize into the Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Dutch and Polish markets. These additional trilingual editions will be available through various publishers in the future and I will share more information as things develop.

Another cool development is the very real possibility that Feudum will become an App. Several senior app developers (who have had their eyes on Feudum) approached me at Essen and they want to move forward with defining the scope of the project. We talked about multi-player A.I., time-based turns for human players, optimizing UI for the best user experience, and of course the need to stay true to the rich artwork of Justin Schultz.

Meanwhile, I have had so many vloggers, bloggers, podcasters and the like reach out to me....so Feudum will eventually be getting all the exposure (reviews, playthroughs, and how-to-play videos) that it deserves!

Obviously, none of this would be a reality without you, my early adopters!  I really do owe it to my backers for making all of this a reality.  Thank you.

Mark

over 6 years ago – Wed, Oct 25, 2017 at 06:52:32 PM

Folks... Good news..... Tabletopia has recently released Feudum: The Queen's Army!!! (Also, Tabletop Simulator is developing a DLC of Feudum as we speak!)

Mark

P.S. If you're Essen-bound... I will see you soon: Hall 2, Booth 2C148.  I had a little passport mix-up and I am now scheduled to arrive in Dusseldorf a day late (Thursday morning at 7:40 am). I will make it to Essen mid morning. Better late than never.
